Intuition, Guided & Inspired by Oracle Cards

Intuition, Guided & Inspired by Oracle Cards

I have been inspired by another yogini on Instagram who is doing Oracle card readings. As I have various cards and use them from time to time, for encouragement and guidance, I decided to share the love…

Firstly I must say that I do not use the cards for any predictions. I am not a fortune teller, and I am sceptical of those some who claim they are.

The card I pick is purely for inspiration…

Here is my process

•Grounding & Clearing Myself

I usually start with a yoga or meditation session to ground myself and clear my thoughts.

I do believe that there is a cosmic guidance that I am ( & we are) connected to, therefore my thoughts could affect the card I choose, so I ensure I am clear and positive through out the process.

•How do I know which cards to choose?

As I have various packs of cards, I choose purely on intuition. I look at the boxes and which ever one I feel “pulled towards” are the ones I choose, it’s basically following my gut instinct. Which is something we sometimes forget to trust in life…

•Gurus & Guides

The more I practice yoga and meditation the more I feel god or a higher concsiousness. The more I respect gurus and guides, even on a cosmic level.

Working with Oracle Cards, when I am not choosing for myself, feels how I feel when I am working with Reiki, it’s on a level of energy and I always feel the need for protection. Therefore I always do a visualisation of being protected by some cosmic force and call on my gurus , guides or angels for protection. Sometimes I visualise Jesus and Buddah both sitting beside me, for guidance.

•Picking a Card

My eyes are usually closed, so I am drawn by pure intuition, and I say my sacred mantra so I may choose a Card for the higher good of all involved.

•Reading the Card

Each deck of cards usually comes with a guide book which explains how you can do your own readings and the meanings of each card.

I first look at the picture and read the words on the card and make a note of anything that resonates. When I read the meaning from the book I copy anything that stands out to me and share any thoughts or feelings that come up.

Gratitude for the Lessons

I end with thanking my guides, sharing on social media for anyone who needs inspiration, motivation or some positivity to start their week!

And that my friends is how and why I am now sharing some card reading on a Sunday!
